The 53cm is the smallest bed in the Animal Instincts plastic range, with a published base of 53 x 35 x 23cm. High sides, a dropped front and ventilation holes moulded into the base: the same shell as the larger sizes, scaled down for a small dog or a cat.

What you are buying here is a washable shell rather than a soft bed. It goes where fabric beds do not survive — a utility room, a kennel, a van, a puppy pen. The blanket does the comfort and goes in the machine; the bed gets scrubbed out and put straight back.
