In the large size, Ancol's Snug Fit Polar Fleece jumper has a 50cm back length and opens up to a 70–92cm chest, with ribbed sleeves and a hook-and-loop fastening down the spine. Khaki is the muted olive shade of the range, a practical colour for country walks.

This khaki large is cut for a 50cm back length and a 70–92cm chest girth, which fits many springer spaniels, border collies and Staffordshire bull terriers. There is no waterproof layer, so think of it as warmth for dry, cold days, or as a layer under a waterproof coat.

How to Use

• With your dog standing, measure the back from the base of the collar to the base of the tail. Then measure the girth around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
• Guide the front legs into the sleeves, lay the jumper along the back and close the hook-and-loop fastening down the spine.
• Check your dog can walk, sit and lie down freely and that the sleeves do not pinch under the front legs.
• Take the jumper off once your dog has warmed up indoors, and whenever it gets wet.

Care & Caution

• Hand wash or machine wash in cool water and air dry naturally. Do not tumble dry or dry on a radiator or other direct heat.
• Fleece soaks up rain. Take the jumper off once it is wet, because a damp layer chills a dog faster than none.
• Check it regularly for wear and stop using it if it is damaged.
• Remove it before leaving your dog crated or alone, in case the fastening or sleeves catch on something.
