Ancol Heritage Rolled Leather Dog Collar Tan 45-54cm Size 6

Ancol Heritage Rolled Leather Collar – Tan, Size 6

Made in the UK by Ancol's own workforce, the Heritage Rolled Leather Collar wraps premium European bridle leather around a strong nylon core, and size 6 suits larger long-coated dogs. Tan is a warm chestnut brown with contrast stitching.

This tan rolled collar is size 6, for necks of 45 to 54cm (L on Ancol's rolled collar chart), which suits many golden retrievers, flat-coated retrievers and similar larger breeds. Take a quick neck measurement before you order, because dogs of the same breed can differ by a size.

Performance & Benefits

• Rolled (round) design that helps reduce tangling and matting in long coats.
• Premium European bridle leather around a strong nylon core.
• Made in the UK by Ancol's own skilled workforce.
• Contrast stitching for a refined finish.
• Traditional buckle fastening.
• Matches the Heritage Leather Lead, which we stock in tan, black and oxblood.
• Packed in recycled and recyclable packaging.

Suitable For

• Necks measuring 45 to 54cm.
• Many golden retrievers, flat-coated retrievers and similar larger breeds.
• Long-haired dogs whose coat tangles or mats under a flat collar.
• Nearby sizes in tan: we also stock size 5 (39–48cm) and size 7 (50–59cm). The rolled collar is made in sizes 3 to 7.
• Not the best choice for a dog that swims or wades on most walks. Repeated soaking is hard on leather and can make the dye run, so a nylon collar copes better with water.

How to Use

• Measure around the middle of your dog's neck with a soft tape before choosing a size.
• Fasten the buckle so two fingers slide comfortably between the collar and the neck, but the collar cannot slip over the ears.
• Re-check the fit on a growing puppy, and after any change in weight or coat.
• Add an ID tag. In the UK, a dog in a public place must wear a collar with the owner's name and address on it or on an attached tag.

Care & Caution

• Leather is a natural, porous material, so slight differences in colour and finish are normal.
• Avoid soaking it. The natural dye can transfer when the leather is wet, which shows on a pale coat.
• If it does get wet, let it air dry naturally, away from radiators, hairdryers and other direct heat.
• Treat with a suitable leather conditioner once a year, and store somewhere dry when not in use.
• Check the stitching and buckle holes from time to time, and replace it if it is worn or damaged.
