Ancol Heritage Peter Pine Cone

Ancol Heritage Peter Pine Cone – 20cm

Peter is a 20cm plush pine cone — the most textural toy in Ancol's Heritage Collection, because the whole shape is built from overlapping scales rather than a smooth body. That gives a dog a great many edges to mouth at, and it is the reason this one tends to hold attention longer than a plain plush shape does.

He is firm yet cuddly, with a squeaker inside and 100% recycled stuffing, and he washes at 30°C. He is made for carrying and gentle mouthing rather than chewing, and at 20cm he sits comfortably in a medium dog's mouth without being unwieldy for a small one.

Performance & Benefits

• 20cm plush pine cone, with overlapping scales giving unusually varied texture.
• Built-in squeaker to bring a dog back to the toy.
• Firm yet cuddly construction — holds its shape when shaken, soft enough to sleep against.
• Soft fabric holds a familiar scent, which is much of why one toy becomes the favourite.
• Filled with 100% recycled stuffing.
• Machine washable at 30°C. CE marked, and supplied in widely recyclable, plastic-free packaging.

Suitable For

• Dogs that carry, cuddle and sleep with a soft toy.
• Dogs that lose interest in smooth toys and want something with edges and texture.
• Gentle mouthing and squeak-driven play indoors.
• Puppies and older dogs, under supervision.
• Not for heavy chewers — Ancol do not recommend the Heritage toys for destructive chewing. The Ancol Tough Super Barbell Plate and the Ancol Tough Baton are the rubber toys we stock for those dogs.

How to Use

• Give him for supervised carrying, cuddling and gentle squeaky play indoors.
• Machine wash at 30°C. Do not tumble dry; allow him to air dry fully before returning him to your dog.
• Check the scale seams each time he comes out of the wash — there are more of them than on a plain toy.
• Take him away at the first split rather than after it becomes a hole.

Specification

• 20cm tall. Pine cone shape, plush, with layered scale texture.
• Internal squeaker. CE marked.
• Filled with 100% recycled stuffing.
• Machine washable at 30°C, do not tumble dry.
• Ancol product code 991528, from The Heritage Collection.
• Ancol publish the filling as 100% recycled but give no composition for the outer fabric, so none is stated here.

Care & Caution

• Not indestructible, and not a chew toy. Dogs should always be supervised during play.
• Check regularly for signs of wear and remove him immediately if he is damaged or if parts become detached — stuffing and squeakers can be swallowed and cause a blockage.
• Layered scales mean more seams and more places to start a tear. Inspect him more often than a plain plush toy.
• Do not tumble dry, and make sure he is dry through before he goes back to the dog.
