Megatape G40 is Agrifence's reinforced wide electric fencing tape, built for permanent and semi-permanent paddock boundaries where visibility and strength both matter. The 40mm width gives horses a clear visual barrier they learn to respect quickly, while the reinforced construction resists the stretching and fraying that thinner tapes suffer over a season of wind and weather.
Supplied on a 200m reel in green, it sits discreetly against hedgerows and treelines rather than dominating the view, which makes it a sensible choice for grazing alongside a road, garden or public footpath. It runs from any standard electric fencing energiser and connects with ordinary tape insulators, joiners and gate handles.

How to Use
- Fit tape insulators to your posts at the required heights before unrolling
- Run the tape from the reel through each insulator, keeping it free of twists
- Tension with a ratchet tensioner so the tape is firm but not over-stretched
- Join lengths with a purpose-made tape connector so the electrical circuit is maintained
- Connect to an energiser rated for the length of fence and earth the system properly

Care & Caution
- Switch off and disconnect the energiser before working on the fence line
- Do not run electric fencing across a public right of way without the required warning signs
- Check insulators and joints regularly; damaged insulators cause power loss and arcing
- Keep the fence line clear of long grass and vegetation, which drains voltage
- Store unused tape out of prolonged direct sunlight to extend its working life
