Phatz are the odd ones in KONG's soft range: the body material has a texture to it rather than a flat pile, and the squeaker is deliberately low-toned instead of the usual shriek. If you have a dog that ignores squeaky toys, the deeper note is often what gets its attention.
This is the Medium hippo. KONG size the Medium Phatz for dogs of 15 to 35 lb, about 7 to 16kg, on their own listing for the range. Construction is reinforced rather than plain-stitched, which is what keeps a textured toy together through chewing.
