A SqueakAir ball looks like a tennis ball and is deliberately not one. Ordinary tennis ball felt is abrasive enough to file a dog's teeth down over years of fetching; KONG use a non-abrasive felt instead, over a natural rubber core, with a squeaker set inside.

Medium is 6.4cm across and 59g a ball, which is KONG's size for dogs of about 15–35 lb. Six in a pack is the point of it — a ball thrower goes through them, they get lost in hedges, and having five more in the bag keeps the walk going.

Care & Caution

• Ball size is a genuine safety matter. A 6.4cm ball is sized for a medium dog and can lodge in the throat of a large one.
• Throw along the ground rather than high into the air — balls caught on the run are far safer than balls caught mid-leap.
• Remove any ball that has been split or punctured, and supervise play throughout.
