At 850g this is the trial bag — about a fortnight's feed for one average rabbit, which is exactly long enough to find out whether yours takes to a mix before you buy a larger bag of it. It is also the size that suits a single dwarf rabbit, where a 2.5kg bag would sit open for the best part of three months.

What is inside is Supreme's standard adult recipe, unchanged from the sack: extruded wheat, flaked peas and maize, Timothy hay, alfalfa and whole oats, no added sugars, and natural prebiotics. Nothing about the small pack is a different or reduced formulation.

Feeding

• 25g per kilogram of bodyweight daily, split into two meals, is Supreme's published rate.
• A 1kg dwarf rabbit takes around 25g a day, so this bag runs for about five weeks at that size; an average 2.5kg rabbit on 60–70g empties it in around a fortnight.
• Feed unlimited hay at all times and a small handful of fresh leafy greens daily.
• Keep clean drinking water available constantly.
• Let the bowl empty before topping it up, and change foods over gradually across about a week.

• Composition: extruded wheat, flaked peas, flaked maize, Timothy hay, alfalfa meal, whole oats, flaked wheat, soya bean hulls, wheat feed, soya oil, extruded locust beans. May contain genetically modified soya and traces of nuts.

• Nutritional additives per kg: vitamin A 20,000 IU, vitamin D3 2,000 IU, vitamin E 100mg, iron 50mg, iodine 1.5mg, copper 7.5mg, manganese 30mg, zinc 100mg, selenium 0.25mg.
• Supreme's ingredient list contains no linseed; claims about linseed and omega 3 on this product are not supported by it and are left off here.
