RenaSan's First Aid Spray is hypochlorous acid at 0.15ml per litre in water and salt — that is the entire ingredient list. It is pH neutral, alcohol free and does not sting, which is the practical difference between it and the antiseptics most of us grew up with.

RenaSan describe it as antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal, killing 99.9999% of germs on contact, and it is approved for type 3 veterinary use and compliant with the European Biocidal Products regulations. The 100ml bottle is the pocket size — the one that lives in a walking bag or a small first aid tin.

How to Use

• Spray liberally onto the affected area, or onto a clean dressing, twice daily.
• Store out of direct sunlight. Refrigeration is not needed, even once the bottle is open.
• Do not decant into another container: hypochlorous acid is light sensitive and the bottle is packaged for it.
• A brief chlorine-like smell just after spraying is normal and passes.
