Beef is the richest of the six Dinky Dog trays and the figures show it: 10.8% protein and 8.5% oils and fats against around 5% fat in the poultry recipes, and 127 kcal per 100g against 92 for the chicken. That is why the feeding guide asks for fewer trays a day than the chicken ones do — the same dog needs less of this to hold its weight.

Beef makes up 65% of the tray, with broth at 28.7% and green beans and parsnip carrying the carbohydrate instead of cereal. Green-lipped mussel, olive oil and goldenrod herb powder go in at the usual small inclusions across the range. It is a complete food, so it can be fed on its own at all life stages.

Feeding

• Feed 2–3 trays a day to a 3kg dog.

• Feed 4–5 trays a day to a 7kg dog.
• Feed 5–6 trays a day to a 10kg dog.
• Split the daily amount over two or more meals, adjust to condition, and keep fresh water available.
