Cornucrescine Original is the product the whole hoof range is named after, and it works differently from the daily dressings — it is massaged into the coronet band by hand rather than painted onto the wall. The coronet is where new horn is made, and the ointment is formulated to stimulate the keratin-producing cells there.
So this is a growth product, not a cosmetic one. Carr & Day & Martin put results at four to six weeks, which is simply how long new horn takes to show below the coronet. Used weekly it maintains healthy growth; used daily it accelerates it and is the one to reach for on a poor-quality or damaged foot. It also helps hair regrow after rubs. This is the 500ml tub.
