Turkey with Duck is the poultry tray for a dog that does not get on with chicken. Turkey leads at 40% with duck behind it at 25%, and there is no chicken anywhere in the composition — a distinction worth making, because plenty of poultry recipes quietly use chicken as the carrier.

It sits at 8.5% fat and 75% moisture, which puts it among the denser trays: more actual food per 100g than the beef, lamb or fish recipes. Organic carrots and peas at 2% each, and the same glucosamine sulphate and green lipped mussel inclusion as the rest of the range.

Feeding

• Canagan's tray guide by bodyweight: 3kg 2–3 trays daily, 5kg 3–4, 7kg 4–5, 10kg 5–6, 12kg 6–7.
• Introduce it over a few days, raising the proportion of new food each day.
• Serve at room temperature — a tray straight from the fridge smells of very little.
• Refrigerate once opened and use within two days.
• Adjust the total by roughly 10% on condition, with clean water always available.
