Battles 2.5% Iodine Spray – General Purpose Skin Cleanser for Livestock
£7.95
Battles 2.5% Iodine Spray – 500ml
The same 2.5% iodine solution as the litre bottle, in a 500ml spray. The trigger is the whole difference: you can apply it one-handed to an animal you are also holding, which in a lambing pen or with a fidgeting yearling is the difference between getting it done and not.
2.5% is the mild everyday strength. It is used across horses, cattle, sheep, goats and pigs rather than being species-specific, which is why one bottle tends to live in the yard cupboard instead of one sitting in each species' kit.
Performance & Benefits
- 2.5% iodine, the mild strength for routine skin cleansing.
- 500ml trigger spray for one-handed application.
- Reaches places a swab cannot without a second pair of hands.
- Used across horses and farm livestock rather than one species.
- A practical size to carry to the animal rather than the other way round.
Suitable For
- Yards, lambing pens and smallholdings.
- Anywhere you are holding the animal with one hand and applying with the other.
- Anyone wanting a ready-to-use bottle rather than something to decant.
- If you go through iodine in quantity, the Battles 2.5% Iodine Solution in one litre refills this bottle at a better price per millilitre.
How to Use
- Follow the directions printed on the bottle label.
- Spray onto clean skin from a few inches away.
- Turn the nozzle off between uses.
- Keep the bottle upright.
Specification
- 2.5% iodine solution. 500ml trigger spray.
- Manufactured by Battle, Hayward & Bower Ltd of Lincoln.
- Battles' own website could not be reached while this page was written, so no manufacturer specification, ingredient list or directions are quoted here. The bottle label is the authoritative source.
- The product title does not carry the volume. This is the 500ml spray, as the product code confirms.
Care & Caution
- External use on the skin only. Keep out of eyes, and rinse with water for several minutes if it gets in.
- Never spray towards an animal's face, or your own.
- Iodine stains skin, coat and clothing.
- Keep out of reach of children and animals.
- Read and follow the hazard information printed on the bottle label.
