Ice Blue is Carr & Day & Martin's cooling gel for legs that have come back hot after fast work or a session on hard ground. It goes on neat, works immediately and needs no bandaging over the top, which is the practical advantage over a clay or a poultice — there is nothing to wrap, nothing to wash out of the hair and nothing to leave on overnight.

The cooling comes from a combination of menthol and camphor with arnica and witch hazel, plus tea tree oil. Witch hazel is the astringent in the mix; arnica, menthol and camphor supply the cooling sensation. Diluted in a bucket of water it also makes a refreshing body wash after a hard day, which is a fair use for a 500ml bottle.
