Of all the Whimzees shapes, the Antler is the one aimed squarely at chew time rather than speed. The forked form gives the dog several angles to attack and no easy end to bite off, so a determined chewer stays with it.

The Medium is for dogs of 11–18kg and carries 96 kcal. Like the rest of the Antler size range it uses the Whimzees Antler recipe — calcium carbonate and chamomile extract at 0.20% — rather than the alfalfa and paprika of the other shapes.

• Composition: potato starch, glycerin, powdered cellulose, lecithin, dried yeast, malt extract, lupine, calcium carbonate, chamomile extract (0.20%).
• Typical analysis: crude protein 1.1%, fat content 2.0%, crude fibre 7.2%, crude ash 2.4%, moisture 12%.
• Calcium carbonate and chamomile extract at 0.20% are specific to the Antler; the other shapes use alfalfa and paprika extract.
• Whimzees describe the range as natural and grain-free, with the Ricebone excepted.

Care & Caution

• Whimzees state these are not suitable for dogs under nine months old, or for any dog under 2.3kg.
• Whimzees warn that swallowing any item without thoroughly chewing it may be harmful or even fatal — stay in the room and take the last short piece away.
• Feed one correctly sized chew a day only, and always leave fresh water down.
