Feeding

• Introduce gradually over seven to ten days.
• Feed to bodyweight, condition and workload alongside forage, and split larger amounts across two or more meals.

Care & Caution

• At 25% starch this is the highest-starch feed in this range and is not suitable for a horse or pony prone to laminitis, or one diagnosed with insulin dysregulation or PPID — a common diagnosis in exactly the age group this feed is aimed at. Have an older horse tested before putting it on a conditioning mix.
• Split the ration across at least two meals. A large cereal meal in an old horse with a slow gut is a colic risk.
