Dark grey is the least demanding of the four Manhattan colourways to live with. The marl weave breaks up the surface so paw marks and shed hair do not read as sharply as they would on a plain flat cloth, and the outer stitching is matched to the fabric rather than contrasted against it. At 50 x 40cm overall this is the smallest size Scruffs make the Manhattan in.

The construction is the same across the collection — a single piece with sidewalls filled to the same depth as the base, so the bed holds a square shape instead of collapsing into a mat. Scruffs' SecureTech tacks the filling down at four points, which is what keeps those walls standing after the bed has been through the washing machine a dozen times.

How to Use

• Place on a level indoor floor, ideally against a wall so the dog can back into a corner.
• Wash the complete bed at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle.
• Do not bleach and do not tumble dry — air dry flat and plump the sidewalls by hand as it dries.
• Vacuum or lint-roll between washes to lift hair out of the marl weave.
