Taupe is the darker of the two Alpine colourways — a grey-brown that hides paw marks far better than the champagne does, which matters on a bed that lives by a back door. The Medium measures 60 x 50cm with 16cm sides, and suits a dog of roughly cocker or terrier size.

The fur is thick-cut faux, deep enough that a dog sinks into it rather than resting on top, and the fill is 100% recycled polyester. Scruffs build the Medium as a single washable unit; the removable water-resistant inner cushion they fit to the Large and X-Large is not part of this size.

How to Use

• Place on a level floor, non-slip base downwards, away from a through-draught.
• Lift and shake the bed weekly to redistribute the fill and lift the pile.
• Gentle machine wash at 30 degrees with a mild detergent.
• Do not bleach and do not tumble dry — dry the bed flat.
• Scruffs warn that colour transfer may occur, particularly while the bed is still wet, so dry it away from pale carpet or upholstery.
• Keep the bed away from open fires and heaters.
