Gorilla Tub Medium 26L – Blue

Twenty-six litres in a body 30cm deep and 38.5cm across the top is the size most yards settle on for mucking out: big enough that a stable does not take four trips, small enough that a full one can still be lifted. The base narrows to 28cm, which is what lets the tub tip onto its side without rolling away.

The Medium is the size Red Gorilla give a chamfered edge, and it changes how the tub is used. Laid on its side, the angled lip sits flat to the floor so a shavings fork or a yard brush sweeps straight in rather than catching on a rim. Blue is the darkest of the ten colours and the least likely to show yard dirt.

How to Use

• Lift a full one with both hands on the handles — 26 litres of water is about 26kg.
• Use the chamfered edge as a lip: hold the tub on its side and sweep or scoop straight into it.
• Rinse between feed and dirty work; food-grade or not, mortar and hard feed do not belong in the same tub on the same day.
• Wash out with warm water and a mild detergent, then upend it to drain.
• Store it upturned outside, or nest it inside a larger tub.
