Badminton Rolled Oats – 20kg
Badminton Rolled Oats – 20kg
A traditional and versatile feed cereal for horses and ponies. Oats are naturally higher in fibre and lower in energy than barley or maize, which gives a slower energy release and makes them less likely to produce the fizz that other cereals can — the reason oats have kept their place on yards for a century despite everything else on offer.
They suit horses in hard work, including competition horses and racehorses, but can equally be introduced in small amounts to lift an everyday ration. The important caveat is that oats are naturally low in calcium and unbalanced in phosphorus, so they cannot be fed alone — they need a balancer or compound feed alongside them.
Performance & Benefits
- Higher in fibre and lower in energy than barley and maize.
- Slower energy release, less likely to cause fizz or hyperactivity.
