Leovet Power Phaser Fly Spray for Horses & Ponies 500ml – Long-Lasting Fly Repellent
Leovet Power Phaser Fly Spray – for Horses & Ponies
Power Phaser is the product leovet built their fly protection range on, and the claim they make for it is a specific one: seven hours of protection, holding up even when the horse sweats. Most repellents are honest enough on a still, cool morning and useless by lunchtime on a working horse; the sweat claim is the one worth paying for.
Five plant oils do the repelling — cade oil from juniper, citriodora oil from lemon eucalyptus, geranium oil from rose geranium, pennyroyal oil and cedarwood oil. leovet describe the cover as protection against all insects and horseflies. They also state Power Phaser is ADMR compliant with no waiting period under FN anti-doping rules, which is the detail competition riders need before spraying anything on a horse.
Performance & Benefits
- Seven hours of protection, stated by leovet to hold even when the horse sweats.
- Cade oil from juniper, citriodora oil from lemon eucalyptus, geranium oil, pennyroyal oil and cedarwood oil, all plant derived.
- Cedarwood oil is credited by leovet with reducing dandruff and hair loss as well as repelling insects.
- leovet state it is ADMR compliant with no waiting period under FN anti-doping rules.
- Trigger spray covers a whole horse quickly on a summer morning.
- Supplied in a bottle leovet make from recycled plastic.
Suitable For
- Horses and ponies turned out through the fly season.
- Working and competing horses, where sweat would strip a weaker repellent.
- Whole-body application before turnout or before a hack.
- Head-shy horses do better with a product you can sponge on — Leovet Power Phaser Durativ gel or the 75ml Power Phaser Roll-On.
How to Use
- Apply to a clean, dry coat; mud and sweat get in the way.
- Spray from a short distance and spread evenly with a cloth or gloved hand.
- Do not spray towards the head — apply to a cloth and wipe the face and ears.
- Reapply after rain, a wash, or when the seven hours are up.
- Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use — leovet's own instruction.

Care & Caution
- An insect repellent is a biocidal product. Use biocides safely and read the label before use.
- Never spray towards the face. Keep it out of the eyes and off the nostrils, muzzle and other mucous membranes.
- Do not apply to broken, sore or rubbed skin.
- Patch test on a small area and wait a few hours before treating a horse for the first time.
- leovet's ADMR statement is their own; check their current FN/ADMR doping-relevance document before competing under any national body's rules.
