Gorilla Tub Medium 26L – Yellow

Twenty-six litres is a workable batch of mortar or render, and the Medium's 30cm depth gives a mixing paddle room to turn without throwing the mix over the rim. The chamfered edge then lets you pour it out in a controlled stream or scrape the last of it clean against the lip.

Yellow is the site colour, chosen to be seen against mud and scaffold. It carries one caveat worth reading first: Red Gorilla state that all Gorilla Tubs are BPA free with the exception of black, green and yellow, so this tub falls outside that claim even though the material is still food-grade LDPE.

How to Use

• Lift a full one with both hands on the handles — 26 litres of water is about 26kg.
• Use the chamfered edge as a lip: hold the tub on its side and sweep or scoop straight into it.
• Rinse between feed and dirty work; food-grade or not, mortar and hard feed do not belong in the same tub on the same day.
• Wash out with warm water and a mild detergent, then upend it to drain.
• Store it upturned outside, or nest it inside a larger tub.

Care & Caution

• Red Gorilla state that all Gorilla Tubs are BPA free with the exception of black, green and yellow. This yellow tub falls under that exception, so choose a different colour if you need a BPA-free tub for feed or drinking water.
• The tub remains food-grade LDPE; the exception concerns BPA specifically, not food-grade status.
• Cement, mortar and render are alkaline and will irritate skin and eyes. Rinse the tub out before it is used for anything an animal will eat or drink from.
