Gorilla Tub Small 14L – Purple

The Small Gorilla Tub takes 14 litres in a deep body — 24cm tall, 32cm across the top, 25cm across the base — and is the size most yards settle on for one horse's feed. It is moulded in a single piece of food-grade LDPE with no seams and no fixings, which is why there is nothing on it to rust, split or work loose.

Purple earns its place on a livery yard as a colour-coding tool. Give each horse a colour and the feed room sorts itself out: the tub, the bucket and the scoop match, and nobody has to read a label at six in the morning. Red Gorilla make the Small in ten colours, so a yard of any size can do this.

How to Use

• Lift by both golf-ball handles when it is full; the sides flex, so a one-handed carry lets the load swing.
• Rinse out between a hard feed and a water fill — the same tub does both, but not at once.
• Wash in warm water with a mild detergent. The interior is smooth, so there is nothing for feed to lodge in.
• If water freezes in it, flex the sides and knock the ice out rather than chipping at it.
• Store it upturned or nested inside another tub so it does not fill with rain.
