Original is Blue Chip's everyday balancer: a concentrated pellet fed in small amounts to fill the gaps a forage-based diet leaves, rather than a hard feed fed for energy. Blue Chip's own analysis puts it at 17.5% crude protein, 5.5% oil, 13% fibre and 10.6 MJ/kg digestible energy.

The reason people buy balancers by the sack is that a sack lasts. Blue Chip state that one sack lasts an average-sized horse approximately 30 days and a small pony approximately 60 days, which puts a 15kg bag at roughly a month for a horse and two for a pony.
